We know that change can bring excitement and uncertainty; we are here to support you every step of the way.
FOR TEAM MEMBERS
As you transition to Duke Health, we want to extend a warm welcome and introduce you to the incredible team you’re joining. Our strength comes from dedicated caregivers, physicians, and staff who are committed to delivering exceptional care and making an impact in the communities we serve.
Next Steps
Mandatory Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Activation
To safeguard your Duke accounts and applications, all team members must activate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). Please confirm your preferred MFA method to ensure continued access to all password-protected Duke systems.
Make sure you are ready for Duke Health Lake Norman by logging into Duke@Work and going through the MFA process a few times to familiarize yourself with the process. Visit the Duke Office of Information Technology (OIT) website for help articles and video tutorials for using Duo, Duke’s MFA platform.
If you require assistance or have questions, please call the help deck at 919-684-2243.
Access Pay and Title
Please log into the portal to access your compensation and title. Use your Duke NetID to log in and view your Duke Health Total Rewards. In addition to your position and pay, you will also be eligible for a pay supplement.
Pay Supplement
Today, all CHS/Lake Norman employees are paid biweekly, regardless of whether they are exempt or nonexempt. At Duke Health, nonexempt employees are paid biweekly and exempt employees are paid monthly. Please click here for an overview and schedule of your CHS paychecks transitioning to Duke Health.
We recognize that this is a different pay schedule than the schedule you had with CHS/Lake Norman. To minimize any impact to your income and help bridge the gap in pay, Duke will provide a $1,000 pay supplement to full-time and part-time employees in your first Duke paycheck. PRN staff will receive a $200 supplemental payment. For more information on the one-time supplement, please click here.
Pay Periods
We want to ensure you understand your pay schedule based on your employment classification: biweekly or monthly. Exempt and nonexempt payroll schedules are available here.
How to Read Your Pay Statement
Your pay statement provides a detailed breakdown of your earnings, deductions and taxes. Sample statements are available to show you how to read your pay statement and accurately track your compensation.
